DISCUSSION – Sheriff Koranda talked about being up for re-election on Aug 11. He spoke about the new courthouse and spoke about ongoing issues within the Village of Bay City.
DISCUSSION – Miki and Bailey with the Bay City Community Club gave us updates on Bay City Days they said there will be buttons going on sale next week. There is a gentleman that will be willing to do a fireworks display on July 11 right in front of the park. Currently Bailey is working on getting the paperwork done to get the 501C (3) for the Bay City Community Club.
DISCUSSION – Public Works Chris Zenner said he has gotten a couple of bids for the 5-year inspection for the water tower. He had a village resident ask him about getting a fountain or an aerator again in the back pond. The skid steers wire harness that goes up into the quick release broke it’s under warranty still so a guy from John Deere will come and fix it. A couple weeks ago took the truck in for noise in the brakes, we were told that was just dirt in them. The one ton is at the shop now for a check engine light on. They called and said it was an O2 sensor. So, they are replacing them. That will be about $300.00. The big cat loader has a big oil leak in it somewhere at one time we used to have a contract with a cat dealer. We would like to check into that again for maintenance. I’ll see what I need to do to help Lisa with the parade on Sunday. If I need to put out no parking signs I can do that Sunday morning. Steve and Sandra will walk down the street and put No Parking signs on people’s houses. I got the new street name signs ordered. The county dropped off the poles yesterday. When I called DOT, they said we need deeds for those roads. We are working on that. If we can’t find deeds, we won’t get the funds. The names are already in the GIS system.
