PUBLIC WORKS – Chris Zenner- Woodland Tree Service Cut trees at campground. New tire quote from Johnson Tire. Only one offers a Government Discount. Checked with Ellsworth Ford & Berghammer both are more. Alignment will also be done. The Engine light came on in the Ford, Chris will bring in his code reader to see what the issue is. (The code reader indicated it was fuel related, the gas cap was removed and then put back on and it resolved itself) Railroad called asking if we were going to help with the cost, Chris told them we would not be taking on any cost from the project. Steve is wanting a chainsaw for the campground; Chris will purchase a cheap one from Menards. Chris will need another load of gravel for potholes. The campground is scheduled to open on 4/15. Backwoods Electric was contacted about the electrical in the campground, Travis has been on vacation. He was asking about what size post to use, he wants 6’ – 8 ‘. The board wants Chris to check about selling Ford / John Deere, they would like to know the trade-in value. The board would like to know if it is within our budget to purchase a skid steer before we purchase. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has approved our sewer license. Letters have been sent out to portion of the town to replace meters/battery.

DISCUSSION Bay City Days July 18-20. How involved will the Village be? How much money will we put into it? There is a committee of 3 to handle it. Stacy McConnell is stepping down so one seat will be open. We have toys and games that can be donated to the committee. The village could provide some space for storage if needed. The village staff will not be involved when on Village time. Make sure no contract was signed with the Bouncy house company. The board wanted to know how much money was spent and made on Bay City Days for 2024. Kim will remind the board that the funds are in the community funds and a spreadsheet was provided to them after Bay City Days last year.
MOTION To go into closed session – roll call vote per Wis . State 19.85(1)(g) to confer with Legal Council (either by phone or in person) who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the board with respect to employee changes and benefits.
