GENERAL MEETING February 12, 2025

Call meeting to order: 6:30pm

MOTION to accept Jan 8, 2025, Meeting Minutes by Johnson/Ebensperger, motion carried

PUBLIC WORKS – Chris Zenner- Sewer permit in the paper, they wanted us testing the ponds and lift station three times a week, Chris had a conference call with DNR, and they are changing it to once a week. Xcel Energy is going to put in all new power lines on 130th they needed a place to store the poles, Chris said we could store them at the sewer ponds but in return we wanted to have 4-6 poles for our salt shed. The Village had been notified that BNSF Railroad will be working on the main crossing again this summer. They wanted us to share the cost of this project, they wanted us to pay for the approaches. They also wanted us to provide an alternate roadway and to man the crossing for them as well. Chris told them that it was their project, and we would not be sharing the cost of their construction. Nor setting up an alternate road in and out of town, that would be up to them as they are the ones that will be blocking traffic. We will not be paying for any of their project. Nor will we be paying or doing traffic control for their project

DISCUSSION: Pierce County Economic Municipal Listening Event – Chippewa Valley Technical College Event is February 19, 2025, Starting at 5:15pm – Sandra was going

MOTION to approve All Croix Inspections Renewal Contract – Johnson/Baker, motion carried

DISCUSSION on GFL price increase – Clerk send the contract to them today and waiting for the response, get back to the board when you hear

DISCUSSION having Sandra attend the Clerk/Treasurers Institute, the board reviewed the agenda and as there is no hotel or travel expense involved they felt it was a good idea.

MOTION to approve having Sandra Goulette attending the Clerk/Treasurers Institute this summer by Ebensperger/Johnson, motion carried

MOTION to approve sending Chris to the WRWA Conference – Johnson/Baker, carried

MOTION to approve Bay City Legion Picnic License by Baker/Johnson, motion carried, Jon abstained

DISCUSSION on any tabled topics from previous meeting- the board discussed the services needed from CINTAS, they agreed to have them come in on a bi-weekly basis.

MOTION to approve Cintas service on a BI-Weekly basis by Baker/Ebensperger, motion carried.

DISCUSSION on campground issues, the board was informed that we did receive the grant from the State on what we submitted for the flooding in June/July of 2024. The board will be discussing what we will be doing as appreciation for all the hard work that the attendant and campers helped with during that time.
